The Staff
The Staff at Las Colinas Children's Academy is trained to provide your child with a unique, educational and fun learning experience. All of our teachers are required to have a minimum amount of training hours and continued education every year. They must also be CPR/First Aid Certified and must pass a criminal background check. Our teachers have degrees or are working toward them.
Infant Teachers:
Hello, my name is Miss Colleen. I have worked in childcare since 2000. I love watching children grow and develop. The excitement they feel when mastering a new skill shows in their faces and makes my career very rewarding! I have a son who is 20 years old and attends Northlake College. I am from Texas and I have lived here my whole life. Some of my hobbies include: reading, writing, spending time with my family and horse back riding. I am a graduate of Irving High School and I am currently attending to obtain my CDA.
Hi my name is Miss Lizette. I love working in childcare because I love the children! I love teaching them and knowing that I can make a big difference in their lives. I don’t have any children of my own but plan to in the future. I have a Shih tzu mix named Chloe. I was born in Dallas and have lived in Texas my whole life. I don’t think I would like to live anywhere else! One of my hobbies is playing Soccer, I love the sport and I grew up watching and playing it since I was little. I also enjoy spending time with my family because they are the most important thing that anyone can have in their lives!
Hi, my name is Beatriz, but you can call me Bety! The meaning of my name is "what makes you happy". I have a sensitive and patient heart for all children. I have worked in childcare since 2016 and have spent most of my time raising my own children, Sebastian, 13 and Damien, 6. I am originally from Mexico City, a beautiful place with a large important economy and many people who are culture rich! There is delicious food, museums, pyramids, and churches. Mexico City is the contrast of Spain, another beautiful place. My hobbies include music, reading and photography. I have a cat Ozzy and a dog Tyni. I finished school with an HR career, which led me to further my career in childcare!
Hello, my name is Miss Mary. I enjoy being around children! I feel that they teach us just as much as we teach them. I just love them! I am currently studying to become a maternity nurse. I was born here in Texas and spent most of my childhood in Mesquite. I enjoy going to the gym, I love fitness. I have two dogs that are like my children, one is a Yorkie mix named Teddy and the other is a canine mix named Lily.
Toddler Teachers:
Hi, my name is Sandrah. I love working in child care because I like to play and talk with children! I have been a child educator since 2014. I am from the Congo, in the center of Africa and I have a daughter named Maria-Tiphaine. I love reading the Bible, writing and watching Disney movies, and spending time with my daughter. For me, the work of childcare is based on three principles: love, patience and understanding!
Hi my name is Ginger. I have been working in child care since 2005. I also have four children of my own. Three boys, Dwayne, Owen, Mitchell, and one girl Patrice. I also have a granddaughter Kiara. I love working with little ones, it’s a passion of mine! I was born and raised in the Kentucky area. I have been in Dallas since 2012. I have an educational background in Medical Assisting, and Phlebotomy. I also have my CDA in Childcare. I love reading with young children and doing art! My hobbies include: Reading, scrapbooking, walks, and listening to music. I was also a Girl Scout Leader. I look forward to coming to work each day to teach your child. I am sure we will have a fun learning day!

I have been married for 24 years, and I have two sons Michael, 24 and Daniel 21. I have lots of patience and my greatest blessing is being a mother of two amazing, handsome sons.

I’m Miss Lauren. I am currently
working on my undergrad at DBU. I am a Christian Studies Major and I plan to be
a missionary once I graduate. I have been working in childcare since 2016 and
have been babysitting since before 2013. I am from Abilene, Texas and I played
golf in high school. I am fluent in American Sign Language and enjoy reading
when I can. I have four dogs and a bird back at home.
I would like to start off by saying: Hello, my name is Jesyca Ramos. I am from Los Angeles California and I have been working in child care since 2005. I LOVE IT! I have a great husband and three wonderful children of my own, Jazlyn, Fabian, and Keoni. I can’t see myself anywhere else than with the children. Kids are my passion and I love to teach them everything and prepare them for school. My goal is that when they grow up, they will remember me as their first teacher!
I am Miss Ellen! I have a Bachelors Degree in Business and have been working in childcare for over 30 years. I love being around children each day! I enjoy teaching Art, Music, Chinese and LCCA Math Hands, and Abacus.

I’m Miss. Lindsey! I am from California and grew up in a small town called
Pinon Hills. I have lived in Texas since 2015. I enjoy being outside, camping
and exploring new places. Although I don’t have any children of my own, I
consider every child that attends LCCA my own. I attended the University of
Central Oklahoma and have a Bachelors Degree in Education/Child Development.
During my time in Oklahoma, I also became a member of the CECPD Oklahoma
Registry. In the future I would like to study the science of Sonography. Most
of my background in teaching has been as an infant room teacher, I learned so
much! As the Center Director of Las Colinas Children’s Academy, I am so lucky
to get the privilege of making a difference in so many children’s lives. It’s
one of the best feelings!
Assistant Director:
Hello, my name is Mireille and I am an early childhood teacher, I am originally from Africa. I have been a part of the LCCA team since 2006. I have been married since 1993 and I have three kids of my own, two girls and one boy. I started working with children over 30 years ago. I havebeen around children my whole life, so being an early childhood teacher is something that is natural to me! I also love volunteer work! I have studied child development and I have a degree in specialization of arts and fashion design. I have also been very active in early Childhood trainings such as: Child Growth and Development, Shaken Baby Syndrome, SIDS and Early Brain Development, Healthy and safe Environments, CPR and First Aid-adult, child & Infant, Core Knowledge and Professionalism Strategies to Identify and Prevent Bullying, And more!
